Wolverines Top Holderness for Third Straight Win

The BA bats did not have time to cool off after yesterday's eigthteen-hit attack against BB&N, as the Wolverine offense pounded out sixteen more today, soundly defeating the Holderness School, 22-7 for their third win in a row. The Wolverines wasted no time getting things started, scoring eleven runs on eight hits in just the first inning, thanks in no small part to Nathan Cook's (Riverside, SC) monster three-run homer to left center field. Apparently not impressed, Holderness came back with three runs in the second and two in the third to cut the lead to six. After a scoreless second inning, BA put the game out of reach in the third inning with eight more runs. BA starting pitcher Sean Mullaney (Newton, MA) pitched two strong innings before handing the ball over to Zach Walker (Hingham, MA) who finished the game. Once again, the dynamic duo of Sean Gavin (Keene, NH) and Brandon Dutch (Monroe, CT) led the Wolverine hit parade with three hits apiece. Brian Murray (Burlington, MA) and Nate Cook were close behind with a pair of doubles, and a home run and single respectively. Now 4-3, the Wolverines look forward to another busy week against four college teams and two against prep school nines.
