Wolverines beat CMCC Mustangs 11 - 9

WEDNESDAY SEPT. 12 - Shamus Landers started the game, and went 5 solid innings, giving up four earned runs on five hits after some hard luck in the field.  Jake Unwin came in relief for two innings striking out four and keeping the game within reach.  Quinn Moynihan was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and four runs scored.  Evan Brown also added two hits and four RBI’s. Cejay Suarez and Alex Benson added three hits.  The Mustangs were down 7-1 at one point before the offense began to chip away bringing the score to 7-5 before some careless mistakes led to a four run deficit heading into the final inning.  However, after loading the bases with the help of Casey Stead and Brett Barbati, Evan Brown scored a clutch two out hit that broke the inning open and tied the game.  Jake Unwin then shut the door in the final frame earning the win and bringing the team to a perfect 4-0 record.
