BA Shows Depth in Pitching

Wolverine hurlers Billy Kenyon (Avon, CT) and Anthony Jimenez (Agawam, MA) combined to limit the Huskies of New Hampton School to just one hit and a single run while getting tons of run support as BA put this one to bed in five innings by a score of 15-1. Kenyon got the nod for his first start of the year and pitched effectively, retiring the sides in order for the first two frames and giving up one run in the third. Jimenez silenced the Husky bats in the fourth and fifth as he retired the sides in both innings. The BA bats supported the fine pitching efforts with eleven hits and fifteen runs. After a scoreless first inning, the Wolverines broke through with four runs in the second, and then put the game out of reach with nine in the third and two in the fourth. Monte Marrocco (Winchester, MA) and Nathan Cook (Riverside, SC) each collected two hits and knocked in three RBI’s apiece. Brian Murray (Burlington, MA) and Bobby Williams (Wilmot Falls, MA) also garnered two hits apiece. Now 12-4, the Wolverines are on the road Saturday as they take on conference foe, Kents Hill School, at 1:00.
