The BA baseball team, winner of ten straight games and thirteen of their last fourteen, had their win streak come to an end today as they lost to a determined Navy Prep squad by the score of 6-3. Wolverine starting pitcher Gavin Scott (Vienna, VA) scattered eight hits and struck out eight, but admittedly was not as sharp as he’s been in previous outings. However, the Wolervine offense which has been averaging over twelve runs per game was uncharacteristically quiet as it was limited to only seven hits and failed to respond to several key scoring opportunities. The loss brings their record to 14-5. A key game is on slate for Monday as the Seawolves of Southern Maine Community College, sporting one of their best teams in recent history, come to North Bridgton for a 4:00 contest. The Wolverines hope to avenge a heartbreaking 6-5 loss earlier in the season.
