Rain Halts BA’s Bid for Number 11

Miserable weather and sloppy field conditions finally took their toll as the men in blue called the game in the third with the Wolverines holding on to a 4-1 lead over Phillips Exeter Academy. BA took no time getting started as Monte Marrocco (Winchester, MA) led off the first inning with a stand-up double to left. However, the Wolverines were not able to score. BA did get four in the second as Marrocco and Brandon Dutch (Monroe, CT) each contributed two-RBI singles. Exeter’s lone run came in the second. The rain-out gives BA pitching ace Gavin Scott (Vienna, VA) an extra day’s rest as he is slated to pitch the first game of the Navy Prep doubleheader slated for Sunday.
