Christian LaVoie Verbally Commits To UMass Lowell

Christian LaVoie (Hopkinton, MA) was the second Wolverine from the baseball team to verbally commit this year. LaVoie has decided to attend The University of Massachusetts Lowell next year where he will be a member of the River Hawks baseball team. When he was asked about UMass Lowell, LaVoie stated, “academically it’s a great school, they have a great baseball program, I was very impressed with athletic facilities, and it’s close to home. The school has a mix of qualities that led me to my decision. I’m very excited about the fall and I was honestly surprised that I know where I am going to college this early in the year.”

Coach Izaryk is excited about LaVoie’s choice and had a few thoughts on the news. "Christian's decision to verbally commit to Coach Harring and UMass-Lowell is one that we're very excited about. Christian has worked very hard in the classroom, on the field and in the weight room to give himself the opportunity to play college baseball. Christian's hard work is a reflection of his tremendous character, and I'm confident that he'll be a productive member of the River Hawk baseball program, both on and off the field," commented Izaryk.

Tanner Chase Verbally Commits to Keene State

Chase (York, ME) has verbally committed to Keene State College for next year where Chase will be a proud member of the Owls baseball team. When asked what it was about Keene State that interested Chase, he replied “there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the school. They have a great campus, everyone was honest with me, and it’s the perfect distance from home. After my visit it just felt like the perfect fit for me. Now that I have made my choice I am relieved and excited to start my college career.

Chase is the first Wolverine to make a commitment this year, and Coach Izaryk is thrilled with his choice saying, "Tanner's commitment to Keene State College and the Owl baseball program is an outstanding fit in my opinion. Coach Testo, as well Coach Howe, showed a great amount of interest and commitment to Tanner throughout the recruiting process, and I'm excited that Tanner has decided to become an Owl. He'll be a great asset to the baseball program as well as the Keene State campus when he arrives in the fall. I'd like to congratulate Tanner on his verbal commitment, and we're excited to send him to Keene State.""
