Wolverines win NECBA Championship!

This last week was very busy and very important for the Wolverine Baseball team. For the Play-offs, they played four hard fought games, all of them away. The first game found them traveling to St. Joseph's College to play the University of New England. It was a great game for CJ Suarez who connected on a three run home run to bring the final score to 12-2 Wolverines. This would leave them in the 3rd seat in the NECBA division.

The next game was played against Harvard. Anthony Graziano pitched an amazing game and Brendan Skidmore played great with one home run. The Wolverines won 9-2 meaning they would have to beat their next two opponents to win.

After playing Harvard, the Bridgton Academy Baseball team played Holy Cross and was trailing 2-6 in the sixth inning. With an outstanding rally by all including clutch hitting by Sean Getman and superb pitching by Jake Unwin, the Wolverines came back and took the win 10-7.

For the championship game the Bridgton Academy Wolverines played the Boston University Terriers. The Wolverines came out strong gaining five runs in the first inning. With great sportsmanship from everyone and excellent catching by Nathan Stewart the Wolverine baseball team won the championship game 10-1.
