Central Maine Ends Wolverine Win Streak at Ten

Avenging an earlier 3-2 loss, the Mustangs of Central Maine Community College combined excellent pitching and timely hitting to defeat the Wolverines 6-0 on Friday afternoon at Holman Diamond. CMCC jumped on BA starter Will Whittemore (Waltham, MA) for all the runs they needed as they scored two runs in the first on a towering home run to right field. Facing one of the toughest pitchers to date, the BA bats were pretty much silent throughout the entire game and were unable to mount any offensive attack. Now 10-1 and 6-0 in NECBA conference play, the Wolverines face Oxford Hills U-18 under the lights at the Field of Dreams Field in Harrison on Wednesday before taking on Merrimack College in the unusual three-game set with a single home game on Saturday and a doubleheader at Merrimack on Sunday.
