New Head Baseball Coach Announced
Bridgton Academy announced the hiring of Aaron Izaryk as the new Head Baseball Coach for the upcoming year. In addition to his coaching duties Izaryk will work as a College Counselor and serve as Residence Hall Director for Walker Hall.
Izaryk is a former University of Maine student athlete and has spent the past five years as a member of coaching staff at UMO under head coach Steve Trimper. Izaryk is also the manager of the Sanford Mainers, two time champions of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL).
As a catcher with the Black Bears, Aaron was a Louisville Slugger Freshman All American in 2002 and an ESPN 2nd Team Academic All American in 2005. He was named the America East Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Baseball in 2004 and 2005. In 2005, Aaron was also honored as the America East Conference’s Most Outstanding Athlete (in all sports). He was honored for three years as an All-Conference selection in America East. He was named the recipient of the 2005 "M Club" Dean Smith Award presented annually to the top male and female student-athlete at Maine.
